Qualification/Experience

Jimmy Myers has been involved in Youth Ministry for well over twenty years, the last eight of which as Minister of Youth at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. He has spoken in camps, conferences, and retreats to youth and parents alike, and has described his calling to teenagers as, "passionate!"

Jimmy has authored, co-authored and compiled several books and articles for youth and parents, including the adaptation of Robert McGee's Search For Significance, entitled The Search. As a Youth Pastor, Jimmy has been counseling teens and their families through crisis events and life transitions for many years and being a father of three teenagers himself, can identify with the journey.

Margaret Beck

Qualification/Experience

Margaret has been working with adolescents and college students since 1992 in a variety of ministry capacities. She understands the pressures faced by youth and their families today and specializes in working with clients dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship issues. She also helps couples and individual women make positive changes in their lives through the compassionate application of biblical principles. Practical and genuine, Margaret strives to pass on the same hope and comfort she has received from the Lord in her own life.

Jennifer Hicks

B.A. in Psychology from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX(minor:
Substance Abuse Studies)

.M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Texas Tech University (emphasis in Community Counseling) -Licensed Professional Counselor

Qualification/Experience

Jennifer Hicks is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has worked in Christian couseling centers through churches & in private practice. In her counseling, she combines genuine compassion, grace-filled Biblical truths, a solid education, & professional experience. She works with all ages, including young children, adolescents, & adults. This includes individual, family, & marriage counseling. Some of her specialty areas include counseling issues such as: issues related to adolescents & children; women's issues; grief; depression & anxiety; relationships; stress; & abuse victims. Jennifer's other previous professional experience has included: program coordinator focused on helping teenage parents & their families in their parenting & relational skills; & therapist at a girls' residential treatment center. She has also led workshops & classes in area churches on pre-marital & marriage topics. Jennifer & her husband are the proud parents of one son.


One of her favorite Bible promises is found in Romans 8:39. "Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
