COVID-19 Returning to Office

As we return to the office we have been working diligently within the state, CDC, Joint Commission, and national guidelines to re-open safely. At this time, we are allowing both the client as well as the therapist to make the decision for him or herself whether or not to assume the exposure risk and return to in-person counseling sessions. Some of our therapists have elected to continue to work from home. Consequently, for the foreseeable future, a number of our therapists will continue to only offer online sessions.

If desired, please contact our offices for a list of therapists that have "returned to work" and are seeing clients face to face.

Below you'll find more information on what we're doing to limit the risk of exposure for those staff members and clients that choose to return to in-person counseling.

Safety procedures for CLIENTS returning to In-Person:

  • Steps to complete prior to your 1st in-person session:

    • Complete an emailed COVID-19 Informed Consent.

  • Steps to complete prior to EVERY in-person session:

    • Wait in your car until 5 minutes before your session.

    • Check into your appointment by texting or calling when you arrive.

    • Have your body temperature checked with one of our touchless thermometers.

    • Sign a statement of health upon arriving in the office.

    • Masks are recommended.

  • We will require any parent, guardian, or family member to wait in the car if you are not part of the session. Our waiting room areas are not accessible at this time.

  • A parent, guardian, or family member may walk their minor child into therapy but will need to follow all the same safety protocols listed above and then wait in the car.

Safety procedures of The Timothy Center

  • We have significantly reduced our schedule capacity to limit patient exposure and minimize risk.

  • At this time all Timothy Center clinicians and providers are choosing when they will return to In-Person/Face-to-Face. Clients will be notified when their clinician and provider is moving from Online to In-Person.

  • All Timothy Center clinicians and providers will complete health screening prior to entering the building.

  • Each interior space in every Timothy Center office will be cleaned professionally, and then cleaned daily. We have created a stringent cleaning schedule along with providing each of our staff with steps to follow for cleaning each office prior to each session and after each session.

  • Social distancing will be maintained within the offices and furniture has been adjusted to maintain the 6 foot distance.

  • All updates will be posted on our website .

We are grateful for your understanding and commitment to each of these safety procedures, knowing that our shared commitment is caring well for each other. COVID-19 has made appointments more challenging but we are committed to continuing to offer you the same quality care since 2001.

Navigating the new normal during and post COVID-19 will be something we can continue to do together. As Austin’s leader in quality, affordable, faith-based counseling we are here to be a place of hope and healing.
