Theresa has worked in Christian private school education with children ages 6 through 10. Making the transition to public school education working with disadvantaged adolescents. In addition to working with clients diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers.
Theresa has experience working with children and adolescents with a variety physical and learning disabilities. She has experience working with adolescents and adults with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, abuse, neglect, grief, and trauma.
Theresa uses person-centered therapy, play therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She believes in the therapeutic power of play for children and adults. She has also given presentations on the therapeutic effects of play therapy with dementia clients and caregivers. Theresa has passion for God’s word and helping clients reach the realization of “self” in order to follow the path God has paved for them. Psalm 119:105
